Little Rock Family Awarded Second Financial Makeover of Nationwide Gradient Give Back Community Outreach Program
On Wednesday, October 7, Angela Foy of Little Rock received a full financial makeover as part of the nationwide Gradient Gives Back program. Gradient’s national spokesperson, Bill Rancic, best known as Donald Trump’s original “Apprentice,” surprised Foy at her home along with COO Tami Lucius of Gradient and Gary G., a local Little Rock investment advisor. Gradient and Gary will provide six months of mortgage payments, tax preparation and filing for two years, debt reduction, financial analysis, retirement planning and career counseling.
Gradient Financial Group launched Gradient Gives Back in May 2009 to provide families, hardest hit by the economic downturn, financial support to get back on their feet.
Foy, a single mother of three, Zoe, 18, Zakyri, 12, and Caleb, 8, had her life changed dramatically in 1995 when she and Zoe were involved in a debilitating car accident. Angela suffered a shattered ankle and hip, and Zoe suffered injuries to her head and spinal cord, leaving her confined to a wheelchair. After an extended and expensive recovery period, Foy faced a new life without a home, job, vehicle or assistance from her ex-husband. Since then, she has worked multiple jobs to support her family and to pay for medical bills and ongoing education, but she continues to struggle financially.
“This makeover is such a relief for my family,” said Foy. “Gradient has offered my children hope for their future, an opportunity to go to college; it’s a second chance for all of us.”
Gary, an affiliated partner with Gradient, has made a lifetime commitment to the Foy family for full-service financial planning with a waiver of all fees to ensure they can rebuild their financial future.
“Angela serves as a role model and inspiration to her children as well as the hundreds of families she has helped in central Arkansas,” said Gary. “I’ve made a lifetime commitment to helping her and her family get back onto solid financial ground. It’s Angela’s turn to get back what she has given so many in our community, and I’m looking forward to helping make that happen.”
This is the second of many financial makeovers Gradient will be awarding to families in need across the U.S. from now through the end of the year.
